Broke Stampers Unite

Hey Guys....It's time again for another Broke Stampers Unite challenge and this week we are focusing on Masculine/Father's Day cards.

This is a challenge for me because I have very limited resources of masculine products. I'm not sure why but I don't really do much "Man Cards!"

The last manly set I got was the Truly Tailored set and well it's retired already so I needed to really dig through my stash and figure something out. LOL My cohorts pointed out the Waterfront stamp set and I was like....hmmm yeah okay that could work. Then I found the Apron Of Love set and was like OH BBQ...BBQ is Manly....Yes....and manly BBQ card would work.

I just recieved a small order of a few products yesterday and one of them was the Tranquil Textures DSP pack. Perfect! So the Apron was stamped on the DSP and cut out with the coordinating apron framelit. I stamped the pocket outline in Night of Navy twice off setting it from each other to give me an interesting border. I stamped the sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink then added some stampin dimensionals to the back of the apron. I stamped the apron strings on the layer of whisper white where I wanted them and then positioned my apron between. I cut out the BBQ utensils with some foil paper and tucked those into the pocket. I stamped the I Love BBQ stamp at the top of the apron. added a neck strap of Shaded Spruce cardstock and cut out the BBQ mitts as well. I stamped the heart image in Poppy Parade down the right side of my whisper white layer. I then layered some more Shaded Spruce cardstock behind the whisper white. The blue DSP layer is also from the Tranquil Textures pack and is layered on a base of Shaded Spruce.

All in All I think it came out pretty cute, and Terry has a great card to send to his Dad for Father's Day! BOOM! Done! LOL

Now lets take a closer look at the set and the DSP stack that I used.

The is called Apron Of Love and the item number is 145835 I don't have the numbers for the framelits on hand but if you search the stamp set in my online store the framelits will come up below and you can just click on them.

The DSP stack is called Tranquil Textures 146331 and looks like this.....

Aren't these just great prints? I'm going to have a lot of fun with these papers. Alright, that's what I have for you today. Now if you head on over to Terri's Blog here you can see what she has come up with for this week.

If you'd like to play along with us you can share your creation here on our Broke Stampers Unite Challenges Facebook Page....just be sure to look for the correct album with today's date.

Have a great day...HAPPY STAMPING.....CAROL
